On July 29, Apple published iOS 17.6, the first developer beta of iOS 18.1, and the second public beta of iOS 18. In the release notes, the tech giant said that since the update includes 30 significant bug fixes and security improvements, it is advised for everyone.

What is included in iOS 17.6?
According on my experience using the upgrade during its testing period, not much has changed. 9to5Mac claims that you may now use the Catch Up function on your iPhone if you have an MLS Season Pass subscription. If you start viewing a match after it has begun, this feature will play a sequence of clips.
Patches and bug fixes are the main emphasis of this release, with a few small phrasing adjustments on a few menus. For many reasons, it isn’t all that shocking.
The iOS 17.6 download page states that the update is recommended for all users and offers significant security and bug improvements.

The first is that iOS 17 already includes everything that Apple said it will have. The tech behemoth said that iOS 17 will bring several improvements to the iPhone in 2023, including the Journal app and StandBy mode. A couple of these features were added later, but the majority were present when iOS 17 was released. We didn’t particularly wait for a future update since they’re all accounted for now.
Additionally, bug fixes and security updates were the main emphasis of Apple’s July 2023 release of iOS 16.6, the last significant iOS 16 update before the introduction of iOS 17. Although the update had no new features, the repairs were still crucial.
Finally, Apple is preparing iOS 18 for release. Following the announcement of the next operating system at WWDC in June, the firm has already made available the first developer beta for iOS 18.1 and two public betas for iOS 18. Although the exact date of iOS 18’s public release is unknown, I believe Apple is putting more effort into making sure iOS 18 functions properly than it did on iOS 17.
